Facts about the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower was built in 1887. It was first built as the entrance arch to Exposition Universelle, the World's Fair. The unique design it presents is created by Gustave Eiffel and he managed to create a masterpiece with the height of 324 meters. Nowdays the Eiffel Tower is a huge landmark of France and especially Paris. Needless to say that everybody thinks about France when looking at a picture of the tower, even if there is a smaller version of it in Las Vegas.

Everyone that visits Paris wants to visit the Eiffel Tower and we must say that it is a must visit tourist attraction. It comes with 3 stories, the first two being accessible by lifts and stairs and the last one only by lifts. Keep in mind that ques are always expected here although it is worth the visit. The view alone from the top of the tower is enough to bare with the possible wait time you might meet.

The even more interesting thing is that the Eiffel Tower will not only offer a great view. You have a lot of other things to look at, including a skating ring right on the first floor during winter. The first floor also holds the Altitude 95, one restaurant that has room for 200 individuals. Tourists can also dine at a restaurant at the second floor but it is reservation only and holds entrance through a private lift, a perfect location for a romantic candle lit dinner on your special vacation.

You will also find a photo studio, a souvenir shop and even a post office on the first two floors of the tower. If you plan to visit the Eiffel Tower we recommend accomodations at the Le Marquis Hotel Paris, a very convenient yet luxurios hotel that is located within walking distance of Champs de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. Other tourist attractions in Paris are accessible through metro.
